About Me: Cristin - The Baker Behind Bug and Bear Baked Goods
Hello, I'm Cristin, the passionate baker with a heart full of love for crafting delicious, peanut/tree nut-free sugar cookies. I'd like to take you on a journey through the sweet story behind Bug and Bear Baked Goods.
Bug and Bear's Rationale: Baking with Purpose
The inspiration for Bug and Bear Baked Goods was sparked by a deeply personal reason. Our middle son was diagnosed with a severe peanut/tree nut allergy shortly after his first birthday. The local bakeries, where we once enjoyed sweet delights, were no longer an option due to the risk of cross-contamination. This concern led me to embark on a journey to bake and decorate sugar cookies that would not only be delicious but also safe for him to savor.
And so, Bug and Bear Baked Goods was named after our two boys. When our youngest son was born, we introduced The Bison menu as a quicker turnaround option. Luckily for us, when he was later diagnosed with a peanut allergy, we already knew a bakery that is safe for him to enjoy!
